(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a minor was riding their bicycle home when a suspect got out of a van and grabbed them in the overnight hours of Sunday, Aug. 4.

According to CSPD, just after midnight on Sunday, a minor was riding their bicycle home from work, in the 3000 block of West Bijou Street in Old Colorado City when a minivan approached them.

A suspect who police said was a man of unknown race, exited the van from a passenger seat and attempted to grab the minor. The minor was able to kick the suspect and run.

Police said it is not known what happened to the suspect or the suspect van as the minor did not see them again. Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to call the police.
