(TELLER COUNTY, Colo.) — The Teller County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) reported that on Wednesday, Aug. 7, it received a call about a woman who, along with her dog, was violently assaulted in a camper outside Cripple Creek, leading to her death.
According to TCSO, the call was received by the TCSO Communication Center around 12:45 a.m. The victim was transported to a hospital where she died due to her injuries from the attack.
TCSO Detectives and Agents with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation are investigating this as a homicide and are currently processing the crime scene and conducting interviews. No further information is available at this time.
