(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The community came together on Monday, Dec. 2 to make blankets for families in need at the Ronald McDonald House.
Blankets were stitched and sewn together during the blanket-making party.
“I think what’s so special about making these blankets hand-tied is that it’s not just a blanket at that point. You know, when somebody’s like if a child comes in with a terminally illness and they’re struggling with something so difficult that no one else can understand, like knowing that somebody cared enough to make that blanket, I think means a lot.”
The Ronald McDonald House provides services for families who need them and helps keep them together. Every family that stays at the Ronald McDonald House will receive one of these blankets
