HSPPR: help homeless pets on National Giving Tuesday

(COLORADO SPRINGS)National Giving Tuesday, which takes place on Tuesday, Dec. 3, was created in 2012 to encourage people to do good by showing generosity to others by volunteering at homeless shelters, sharing kindness with neighbors, or donating to favorite causes. The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) is offering an opportunity to extend that generosity to homeless pets in need.

HSPPR is raising funds to care for neglected, homeless, and injured animals to give them the care they need to lead happy, healthy lives.

The fund helps dogs like “Asoka,” who arrived at HSPPR with a serious case of “puppy strangles,” a condition where her immune system was attacking her own skin. Her face was red, swollen, scabbed, and very painful, and she needed months of treatment. Asoka is still recovering at her foster home, but she isn’t letting her illness slow her down.

Fetch Pet Insurance is matching every donation made on Giving Tuesday up to $30,000. To donate to the fund, click on the link above.
