Bicyclist suffers serious injuries in hit-and-run crash

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened in the evening hours of Sunday, Dec. 29, which left the victim with serious life-threatening injuries.

According to CSPD, on Sunday at around 10:30 p.m., officers were called to the 4500 block of Edison Avenue near East Platte Avenue and North Murray Boulevard about a hit-and-run crash.

When police arrived they found a man in the roadway who appeared to have been hit while riding his bicycle west on Edison Avenue. The man was taken to the hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.

The Major Crash Team was called to the scene and took control of the investigation.
