PPD: Man pulled a gun when confronted for alleged theft

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) said a man has been arrested after he allegedly pulled a gun when he was confronted for shoplifting on Friday, Feb. 7.

PPD said on Friday, officers were called to the 4200 block of Dillon Drive near I-25 and CO-47. Police learned a man allegedly attempted to leave the store with merchandise without paying and when confronted, pulled a gun and then ran away.

After police looked at surveillance, an officer saw the suspect, identified as 42-year-old Lance Coletti entering a nearby store. PPD said Coletti found officers waiting for him and he was taken into custody without incident.

Coletti is facing charges of Armed Robbery, Menacing with a Deadly Weapon, Identity Theft, Criminal Possession of a Financial Device, and Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine.
