DENVER (KDVR) — Both directions of Highway 6 and Loveland Pass are closed due to an avalanche, according to the Clear Creek Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said one vehicle was trapped in the avalanche and was pushed nearly 50 meters off the road.
The avalanche occurred at the Seven Sisters slide near the Loveland Ski Area. The slide is around 50 meters wide and four to five feet deep.
No injuries were reported.
The sheriff’s office said they used a drone to identify the owner of the vehicle via the license plate, and confirmed that the owner was not with the vehicle.
Saturday morning, the road remains closed but the sheriff’s office said emergency responders are clearing the scene.
