(COLORADO SPRINGS) — For women who enjoy stylish and beautiful clothing, but don’t want to feed into the fast-fashion behemoth, a new second-hand boutique opened in February in Downtown Colorado Springs.
Luna’s Sustainable Fashion Boutique is a second-hand shop at 328 1/2 North Nevada Avenue, between Acacia Park and Boulder Street, that sells affordable basics for work and special occasions.
Timeless wardrobe staples are hand-curated by owner Tiffany Wismer, with a focus on ladies’ fashion items, such as spring and cocktail dresses, wool and leather jackets, trench coats, organic cotton t-shirts, brand-name jeans, sweaters, and business suits.
“I think, for me, opening Luna’s is about the pursuit of something beautiful,” said Wismer. “Sustainability is about preserving what is beautiful. And I want women to feel that when they shop here. I want them to feel beautiful, inside and out.”
Luna’s is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For those wishing to clear out their wardrobe, Luna’s accepts donations, 20% of which goes to local charities, or consignments, with a 40% return on sold items. Schedule a dropoff at the store’s website, linked above, and follow Luna’s on Instagram at @lunascolospgs.
