(Manitou Springs) — As part of the Manitou Springs Carnivale Festival on Saturday, March 1, the 31st Annual Mumbo Jumbo Gumbo Cook-off took place in Soda Springs Park, where thirteen teams competed in the professional and amateur chef categories to be crowned for the best gumbo.

The City of Manitou Springs announced the winners of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, as well as the winners of the Showmanship and People’s Choice awards.

The Great Wolf Lodge was voted best in the professional chefs category, with SPAF BBQ taking 2nd place, and RK Prime Catering coming in at 3rd.

In the amateur division, Paul Haas with his team Bayou Boys took first place, with Eric Manchens, and team Three Avengers (No Thor) in second, and Heather Lindsay with Lindsay’s Legacy coming in at thrid.

The Bayou Boys were awarded the Showmanship Award and Po’Brothers received the People’s Choice award.
