(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that on Saturday, March 8, officers responded to a crash on North Academy Boulevard, near Constitution Avenue, where two people were injured and taken to the hospital.
According to CSPD, when officers arrived at the scene around 11:20 p.m., officers determined that two vehicles were involved in the crash. The investigation revealed that one vehicle was driving north in the southbound lanes, bringing about a head-on collision.
CSPD stated that the drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing, but impairment is believed to be a contributing factor.
