CSPD: Suspect arrested for road-rage related shooting

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that officers responded to investigate a road rage incident that ended with the suspect vehicle firing several shots at the victim’s vehicle on Feb. 15, near Highway 24 and 21st Street, leading to an arrest on Tuesday, May 20.

According to CSPD, when officers arrived at the 1000 block of 21st Street, they learned that bullets had hit the victim’s vehicle, barely missing the people inside the car.

The Assault Unit took over the investigation and identified the suspect as Daniel Williams, according to CSPD.

On May 20, detectives and the Armed Violent Offender Unit arrested Williams and took him to the Criminal Justice Center, where he is being held on three counts of Attempted Murder, one count of Illegal Discharge, and one count of Harassment.
