DENVER (KDVR) — Hundreds of flights are delayed at the Denver International Airport on Thursday morning after a ground delay caused by low clouds in the area.
The Federal Aviation Administration issued a ground delay at DIA due to “low ceilings” on Tuesday morning. While the ground delay was lifted, many departures to DIA are still behind. As of 9:30 a.m., FlightAware, a flight tracking website, said there are 214 flights delayed at DIA and one cancelled.

This delay comes after a ground stop at the airport on Wednesday afternoon. The ground stop was issued amid thunderstorms. Thousands of flights have been delayed over the past week at DIA due to fog and thunderstorms.
