Lewis had previously served as the wrestling coach at Trinidad State College, and in December 2024, he was “separated from employment.”

“The reason for separation is resignation in lieu of termination,” the college previously stated.

In 2025, a college in Missouri had reportedly hired him as the third Head Coach of the men’s program.

PCSO told FOX21 News that Lewis is “no longer at the jail” in Pueblo and does not know if he has posted bond.
