(COLORADO) — Prices are rising at the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), and fees for certain driver and vehicle services will change beginning June 30 and July 1.
According to the DMV, prices will rise in order to keep pace with inflation. Fees that will be affected by the new update include driver’s licenses, ID cards, license plates, record searches, some vehicle license plates, and more.
Fee adjustments starting on Monday, June 30, are rounded up to the nearest nickel to make transactions smoother or more convenient, per DMV.

License plate fees will also change, beginning Tuesday, July 1. According to the DMV, material fees for license plates and decals for plate production costs are also increasing.

Registration fees will also be adjusted for inflation beginning July 1. All fees, besides the Commercial Electric Road Usage Fee between 16,000 to 66,000 pounds, will rise.
