(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Colorado Lottery has launched public voting for its second annual Starburst People’s Choice Award.
The Colorado Lottery uses the Starburst Award to recognize excellence in the use of Lottery funds for community and conservation projects. The Colorado Lottery said projects are chosen based on a number of considerations, including the creativity of the project, economic and social impact on the community, along with a broader impact on the state. In 2024, Panorama Park in Colorado Springs won the People’s Choice Award.
The People’s Choice vote runs from July 1 to July 31. People can vote once per day by email or on the contest website. Every day, people who vote will be given one entry in a chance to win a Colorado Lottery prize pack valued at more than $200.
“Last year’s response to our first People’s Choice Starburst Award was overwhelming,” said Tom Seaver, senior director of the Colorado Lottery. “The fans of our Starburst Award winners came out in full force to bring in the win for their favorite project. But of course, all of these projects are winners in my eyes, and Colorado is the ultimate winner, thanks to our loyal players.”
A full list of projects for the vote can be found on the Colorado Lottery’s website.
