Fort Carson to conduct live-fire training exercises for nearly a month

(FORT CARSON, Colo.) — Fort Carson announced that soldiers from the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, will conduct live-fire training exercises in the training area from Monday, July 28, through Friday, Aug. 22.

During this time, people can expect to experience increased noise and dust throughout the day and into the night south of the main post. The purpose of the training is to validate field artillery crews and is a regular part of the unit’s training cycle.

Fort Carson stated that the Army Post is dedicated to being a good neighbor and will continue to inform the public about training events that may affect the surrounding community. Noise complaints can be directed to the Fort Carson Public Affairs Office at (719) 526-9849.
