(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs is planning to close Las Vegas Street and Hancock Expressway from Aug. 10 to 11. Road crews will be pouring concrete on the westbound Circle Drive Bridge.

The City has announced detours for both road closures. For East Las Vegas Street, the City recommends northbound drivers to use Highway 85/Venetucci Boulevard to Circle Drive. Southbound traffic can take Janitell Road, with alternative routes via Circle Drive as well.

The Hancock Expy detour directs drivers to Delta Drive to Circle Dr., then west on East Fountain Boulevard for drivers going North. Southbound drivers should take Circle Dr. to Interstate 25 to Highway 24 East, or East Fountain Blvd. to South Academy Boulevard.

The City also advised that the work is dependent on the weather. So, the schedule and timing of closures may change.
