CSPD: Suspects on the run after victim’s gun stolen from car

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is searching for two suspects following a reported robbery on Sunday, Aug. 17, where a victim’s gun was stolen from their car.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday evening, CSPD received a call about a robbery in the 1500 block of East Pikes Peak Avenue, near Memorial Park. According to CSPD, two suspects and acquaintances of the victim entered the victim’s car; one was described as a Black male, 17-18 years old, with chin-length hair.

The victim told police that after a short conversation, the suspect described above allegedly took a gun from the victim’s car. This resulted in a fight where the suspect is accused of pulling a second gun on the victim before driving from the scene in a silver Honda sedan with the victim’s gun.

The victim received minor injuries, and neither suspect is in custody at this time. CSPD requests anyone with information about this incident to contact them at (719) 444-7000.
