(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said officers are investigating a homicide in downtown Colorado Springs, near Monument Valley Park.

According to police, officers received a call about a body in the area around 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28.

CSPD said officers responded and notified homicide, which took over the investigation.
