(PUEBLO, Colo.) — A wanted felon with a criminal history including child abuse and battery was arrested in Pueblo by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and local partners at the end of August.
According to the FBI Denver, 48-year-old Lawrence Romero was arrested on Aug. 22 by members of the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force. Romero was wanted on a felony menacing warrant out of Pueblo.
FBI Denver said Romero also has a criminal history out of New Mexico, which includes battery and child abuse, as well as theft and fraud charges out of Colorado.
The Safe Streets Task Force that arrested Romero also consisted of officers from the Pueblo Police Department, Colorado Department of Corrections, and deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
