El Paso County opens additional voter and polling centers today

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — Five Voter Service and Polling Centers (VSPC) will be open from the El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office for early voting today, Monday, Oct. 27.

New voters can register at any of these voter centers, but they also offer updates to current voter registrations and can issue ballots to those who did not get one in the mail. The centers will also have ADA ballot marking devices for people with disabilities.

Those who prefer to vote in person can come to a voter center too, get their paper ballot, and drop it off, or drop off their ballot received by mail. The County Clerk’s Office confirms that all ballots, mail-in or in-person, are processed in the same manner.

Apart from the full-service voting centers, the City will also provide 41 secure ballot drop-off boxes.

Starting Monday, Nov. 3, six additional VSPC locations will open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on election day: Nov. 4.

According to an official release from the County Clerk and Recorder’s Office, VSPC locations are strategically placed through a geographic information system to ensure 98% of the population lives within 15 minutes away from a ballot drop box or VSPC. Location and maps to voting locations are available at El Paso County’s elections webpage.

Any questions or concerns can be made to the County Clerk’s Elections Staff at (719) 575-8683.
