(AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.) — Thursday, May 30 will be a special day for the Class of 2024 U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) cadets as they graduate and become officers in the U.S. Air Force.
This week, cadets and their guests are taking part in receptions, awards ceremonies, concerts, parades, air demonstrations, and commissioning events which will all culminate on Thursday at Falcon Stadium for the 2024 USAFA graduation.
One cadet who spoke to FOX21 News said the initial culture shock of the military academy surprised her, but it was all worthwhile in the end.
“You’ve got all of like the number one kids from across the country, all coming together, and you are competing with the cream of the crop. They’re all excellent students and we’re all competing for the same pilot slots. It’s just amazing the drive and determination you see from these kids, and the motivation you get from working alongside them; it’s absolutely incredible,” said C1C Ayushi Bansal.
