(ALAMOSA, Colo.) — The Alamosa Police Department responded to a barricaded suspect situation on Friday, March 7, that led to an evacuation of a local Burger King.

At around 9:24 a.m., the City of Alamosa reported there was a heavy police presence in the area of a Burger King located at 2501 Main Street, near Highway 285, due to an individual who had barricaded themselves inside the bathroom.

The City reported that the building was evacuated, and SWAT was en route. At 10:18 a.m., it was reported that the suspect was taken into custody and the area had been cleared.
