Albertsons Companies recalls store-made products due to possible Salmonella

(COLORADO) — After a recent recall of cucumbers in multiple states, Albertsons Companies, including Safeway stores, have voluntarily recalled multiple store-made items supplied by a farm in Arizona due to possible Salmonella contamination.

On Monday, Dec. 2, Albertson Companies stores recalled select store-made deli meat and produce items containing recalled bulk cucumbers supplied by Baloian Farms.

The select store-made products were available for purchase at Albertsons and Safeway stores located in Colorado, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, the southern region of Washington, and Wyoming.

Anyone who has purchased any of the items above is urged not to consume any of the products and either dispose of them or return the items to their local store for a refund. Anyone who is concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.

Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in children, elders, and others with weakened immune systems.
