(COLORADO SPRINGS) — With only one week before the first concert at Ford Amphitheater and the venue still under construction, it is officially crunch time for contractors, inspectors, and the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department (PPRBD).
PPRBD posted on Facebook on Friday, Aug. 2, one week ahead of the grand opening performance by OneRepublic on Aug. 9. PPRBD said hundreds of workers from all trades are working hard to put the final touches on the venue.
PPRBD provided a sneak peek inside some never-before-seen areas of the venue, including performer suites. In the photos, you can see the grassy lawns have been installed, VIP areas with fire pits are taking shape, and the Ford logo is being prepared to take its place on the stage’s structure.
PPRBD said multiple inspectors were on site on Friday, due to the numerous permits and inspection requests that are coming in at the same time. FOX21 News spoke to Venu (formerly Notes Live) on Thursday, and the company assures concertgoers that everything will be ready to go for the exciting lineup of concerts.
