Arrests in Cañon City for drugs and firearms possession

(CAÑON CITY, Colo.) — The Cañon City Police Department reported that on Friday, June 28, officers responded to the 1100 block of Monroe Avenue, near 11th Street, for a call about two suspicious individuals on bicycles loitering behind some houses, leading to arrests for narcotics and firearm possession.

According to the police, the call came in around 1 a.m. on Friday, and when officers arrived, they found two people on bicycles who matched the description of the suspicious individuals. The police discovered that the two were allegedly armed with concealed firearms and a subsequent search of their property turned up a large amount of narcotics, including over 400 fentanyl pills and around 20 grams of meth.

Police said the narcotics and firearms were seized and the two people, identified as 31-year-old Jesse McAlhan and 20-year-old Ezra Davis, were arrested on charges including Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute, and Unlawfully Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
