Ballots for Colorado Springs election being mailed soon

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs said ballots for the 2025 General Municipal will be mailed to registered voters in Colorado Springs on Friday, March 7.

Six district City Council seats are on the ballot, but each voter will only have the District City Council race for the area of town they live in.

“City Councilmembers play a very important role in key decisions which directly impact residents,” said City Clerk Sarah Johnson. “Unfortunately, in the past, we have seen less than a third of registered voters return their ballots. It only takes a quick minute at one of 28 secure drop-off locations across the city.”

The City is also introducing a ballot status tracker on its website. Voters can input their name, date of birth, and zip code to get the status of their ballot through the Colorado Springs city website.

Ballots are due by 7 p.m. on election day, April 1, with the deadline for military and overseas citizen ballots, along with the deadline to correct issues, set at April 9. The City said election results should be certified by April 11, and District City Councilmembers are sworn into office on April 15.
