(DENVER, Colo.) —The hosts behind the popular podcast “The Banana’s Podcast” are bringing their antics to a free street festival in Larimer Square on Saturday, September 7th.

Bananasfest promises to bring the laughs and sunshine to all things bizarre and funny news.

The event kicks off a noon, and will include a variety of events including a dog costume contest, a friendship speed dating event, a hunk-dunk tank, a live DJ, and food and drink vendors.

“We love Denver. I’ve done a lot of stuff over the years in Denver. Scotty and I, a long time ago. We were we drove a giant butt across the country, it was a 15 feet long, 15 feet tall bus. And it had a tattoo on it that said had a heart on it,” said Kurt Braunohler, half of the comedy duo which includes Scotty Landes.

“That was for a Comedy Central pilot that we were shooting. And we came through Denver, and Denver was the most responsive city that we brought the butt to. Everybody was so into it and so wonderful. And ever since then, I think we’ve loved Denver for comedy and weird stuff.”
