(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that during a Beat Auto Theft Through Law Enforcement (BATTLE) deployment in El Paso County, six vehicles were recovered and eight people arrested during a joint operation with Colorado State Patrol and Colorado State Parole.

According to CSPD, on Monday, Sept. 23, eight people were arrested for multiple motor vehicle offenses, narcotic-related offenses, and active arrest warrants.

CSPD said one arrest was a targeted prolific offender and another was a suspect who was convicted on multiple felony charges and released from prison two days ago. The suspect was allegedly found in possession of a stolen vehicle, a handgun, and a felony level of narcotics.
