(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A 9-month-old bear cub was discovered in the underground employee parking lot of St. Francis Hospital on Friday, Sept. 19, prompting a response from Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) officers.
According to CPW, the bear cub was temporarily immobilized and transported to a wildlife trailer, where officers confirmed it was still asleep before tagging its ear and administering a wake-up drug.
Once the bear cub was awake, it was relocated to Colorado Parks and Wildlife Southwest Region’s rehabilitation facility in Frisco.
