Bicyclist seriously injured in collision with car

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that on Saturday, July 6, around 3 p.m., officers were dispatched to the scene of a crash between a car and a bicycle that led to serious injuries.

According to CSPD, when officers arrived at the 3300 block of Templeton Gap Road, near North Union Boulevard, they found that the bicyclist had failed to yield the right of way to a vehicle traveling southwest on Templeton Gap Road.

The bicyclist suffered serious bodily injury from the crash and was transported to the hospital. He is expected to survive. The driver of the car was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
