BJ’s Velvet Freez celebrating 70 years in Colorado Springs

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — BJ’s Velvet Freez, a popular local ice cream shop, is celebrating a milestone this year, and is inviting the community to come out and enjoy some delicious ice cream and discounts to help them mark the occasion.

BJ’s Velvet Freez opened in 1954 as a Tastee Freez franchise, and although it has changed names and hands over the years, its menu has remained largely unchanged, as it continues to offer all-American favorites, including hamburgers, soft serve, shakes, malts, and sundaes.
