(COLORADO) — Black Hills Energy is reminding its customers that help is there if they need assistance in paying their energy bill.
The Colorado Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) is available to help qualifying households meet their home energy needs through utility bill payment assistance. The program also helps families make their homes more energy efficient and provides emergency funds to prevent service disconnection.
To apply to LEAP, a copy of a customer’s current Black Hills Energy bill is needed. Customers can obtain it by:
Logging into the Black Hills Energy customer portal and printing or downloading
Or by contacting Black Hills Energy Customer Service at (888) 890-5554
LEAP also offers separate funding for crisis assistance. Black Hills Energy also offers extended payment terms to help customers get back on track and budget billing.
