Bobcat caught on camera in Springs neighborhood

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Tuesday, Aug. 6, the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Southeast Region (CPW SE Region) released three videos of a bobcat as it wandered around a Colorado Springs neighborhood.

The first video, which you can watch above, shows the stealthy and shy bobcat sneaking through the trees and bushes in a homeowner’s yard.

In the second video, above, the bobcat is trotting through the morning shadows. CPW SE Region notes that it is likely hunting for breakfast, but hopefully not your pet cat or dog. According to CPW, Bobcats are not dangerous to humans and are not likely to attack large animals, but it is smart to keep your pets safely inside.

The third video shows the bobcat twitching its tail and spraying its scent to mark its territory. CPW SE Region remarked that the birds are sounding the alarm, saying, “Quite the drama, and it unfolds daily before our eyes if we just look.”
