Busy intersection in Security-Widefield now has traffic signal

(SECURITY-WIDEFIELD, Colo.) — A traffic signal has been installed at a busy Security-Widefield intersection and was officially activated on Wednesday, March 20.

Construction on the traffic signal at Grinnell Boulevard and Bradley Road began in 2023 and was funded through El Paso County Road and Bridge. The intersection was previously a four-way stop.

“The intersection was not operating at an acceptable level of service and [El Paso County] wanted to support current and anticipated growth and need for intersection improvements,” said Scott Anderson, Communications and Public Relations Manager for the El Paso County Communications Department.
