(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The intersection of North Carefree Circle and North Powers Boulevard is closed in all directions due to a crash between a Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) cruiser and another vehicle, as of 1:45 p.m. on Monday, April 21.

According to CSPD, the officer received no injuries, and the people in the other vehicle received minor injuries. The Major Crash Team is investigating the crash, as is policy when a CSPD cruiser is involved.

According to COTrip, drivers should avoid the area, and a detour is in place. CSPD reported that the intersection is expected to be cleared soon.
