Cat Fest Colorado returns to celebrate all things feline

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Returning to the springs for its second year on Saturday, July 21, “Cat Fest Colorado” is, as its name implies, about all things cats. Featuring education programs, adoptions, celebrity cat meet-and-greets, and cat goods, the event served as a mecca for local cat worshippers.

Celebrity cats, such as Liebchen Travels, Madfluffs, Alpha Cat, Mountain Mowzer, and That Cat Pluto were among the famous furballs who hosted meet-and-greet booths. Human guests included actor, comedian, and cat activist, Nathan the CatLady, and cat behavior expert, Jennifer Catpurr. Annie Medina, also known as “Miss Purrcilla Pawzley,” acted as Master of Ceremonies for the event.

“I have heard that Colorado Springs is more of a dog town than a cat town,” said Medina. “But I think the attendance today, and all the love that we have seen for our feline friends, really brought out the cat lovers in Colorado Springs. So I have to say, as much as it’s a dog town, they love their kitty cats here in Colorado Springs.”
