(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The American Legion said River Gassen, Joseph Gaye, and Jeff Crank have accepted invitations to a question-and-answer session hosted at the American Legion Post 5 located at 15 East Platte Avenue on Sunday, Sept. 29.
American Legion said the event starts at 2 p.m. and will feature a two-minute presentation from each candidate then questions that were presented to them weeks ago will be asked. The American Legion said questions will cover access to VA healthcare, disability benefits, veteran homelessness, and women’s health.
“Congressional District 5 which is El Paso County is the 3rd largest veteran populated Congressional District in the United States. The VFW and the American Legion absolutely know how important it is for the elected Representative to understand and support the Veterans and their Family members within her or his district,” wrote the American Legion.
