CDOT, Scooter’s Coffee reward seatbelt-usage with sweet treat

(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and Scooter’s Coffee are partnering together and giving people who buckle up a sweet treat.

CDOT’s Click It for Coffee aims to highlight and reward the importance of wearing a seatbelt. Data shows El Paso County has the third lowest seat belt use rate, well below the state average of 89%.


CDOT begins Click it or Ticket enforcement period

To encourage the El Paso County community to buckle up, Scooter’s Coffee is giving drive-thru customers who are wearing their seatbelts a half-off drink coupon for their next visit on Tuesday, July 30.

The summer Click It or Ticket enforcement period began on July 22 and will conclude on Friday, Aug. 2. Click It Or Ticket reminds motorists of Colorado’s seatbelt policy by bringing awareness.
