(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Presented by The Church of Hesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, The Light of the World Christmas Experience features various activities where individuals can celebrate and feel the spirit of Christmas earlier than Dec. 25.
The experience features between 400 to 500 nativity scenes collected from all around the world. In addition to Live Outdoor Nativity performances and a Crèche Exhibit.
“It’s kind of the time of year that’s kind of busy,” said Director of Light of the World Christmas Experience, Megan Parr. “And it’s easy to get lost in the business so we wanted to create a place where you could come and just feel some peace and sort of fill your cup as you open up the Christmas season.
For over 18 years, Nativity performances have been in production. This year’s performance lasts about 15 minutes and those who attend are encouraged to wear warm clothing. Free hot cocoa is provided. Performance hours are Friday and Saturday a 6, 6:30, and 7 p.m.
The exhibit will only be available from Thursday to Saturday, Dec. 7. Friday and Saturday hours are from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 8710 Lexington Drive. The church will also host a free Christmas Concert on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 5 and 7:30 p.m.
