(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs said on Wednesday, Oct. 8, temporary delineators and signage will be installed, closing off left turns at North Union Boulevard and Garmish Road between Dublin Boulevard and Vickers Drive.
The temporary barriers and signage will remain in place for the next six to 12 months, according to the City. The new installations mean left turns will not be allowed for southbound Union Blvd. onto Garmish Rd., and no left turns from westbound Garmish Rd. onto southbound Union Blvd.
“Recent safety data and incidents at this location spurred us to implement this temporary solution, gather more data and feedback, and determine if this solution should become permanent,” said City Traffic Engineer Todd Frisbie.
The City said access to the southbound N. Union Blvd will be via Del Ray Drive to Vickers Dr. to the south.
