Clean-up efforts in Pueblo prepare for State Fair

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The City of Pueblo’s Public Works, Stormwater, Parks and Recreation, Municipal Court, and other departments collaborated on a clean-up effort ahead of the Colorado State Fair in late August.

On Saturday, Aug. 10, various city departments joined forces for a clean-up effort, dubbed the “Broom Brigade,” on Northern Avenue.

“I think if you have community involvement, it pays off and people start looking at their neighborhoods or their yards and saying, you know, maybe we should pull these weeds today or help clean up this trash or be more involved,” said Heather Graham, Mayor of the City of Pueblo. “So I’m really happy to be leading the charge of the community-wide cleanups that we’ve been doing. And we will be having another big citywide cleanup where people can come and dump for free at the state fair and CSU Pueblo in October.”
