Clerk and Recorder’s Office celebrates Vows and Valentine’s

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Friday, Feb. 14 the El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office celebrated Valentine’s Day with the ultimate declaration of love, getting married.

On Friday, between 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., couples getting their marriage or civil union license were celebrated. Couples had to have completed the online application process before going to the Clerk and Recorder’s Office and were greeted with Valentine’s themed photo opportunities and treats.

“What’s great about her is that, first off, she’s more intelligent than me. My dad always said, ‘Find someone smarter than you,’ so I took that to heart,” said Ezekial Luther-Chapman, Newlywed. “And then, she’s beautiful… she’s just fantastic. She’s made my life better in every single way and made me a better person for it.”
