(COLORADO) — The Colorado Courts (Co Courts) system was operating on a limited basis overnight on Wednesday, Jan. 17 due to a network outage caused by a cooling system failure at a backup location that has since been fixed.
CO Courts said due to the damage that happened at the Carr Judicial Center on Jan. 2, there was electrical system instability so the statewide case management system was migrated to its backup network.
However, at around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, the Colorado Judicial Department was informed of a cooling system failure at the backup location. The department decided to shut down all operating systems until they could be cooled, brought back online, and evaluated.
The outage lasted overnight into Thursday morning, Jan. 18, and at around 6:40 a.m. CO Courts said the system was back online and tested. There will be no interruptions to court services on Thursday due to the IT issues experienced overnight.
