Colorado College Hockey skates into top 10

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — After a successful sweep over the weekend against #2 North Dakota, Colorado College hockey has slid into the top 10 for the first time since 2012.

Earlier this season in North Dakota, the Tigers took down the Fighting Hawks in overtime during both games and on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 16 and Feb. 17, CC outscored them 13-3.

Sophomore goaltender, Kaiden Mbereko, stopped 66 out of 69 shots total in the series over the weekend.

“You’re going to have a ton of adversity and playoff atmosphere type games against really good teams and we bent but didn’t break,” said Kris Mayotte, Colorado College Hockey Head Coach. “If you think about our culture and what we’re trying to build and how we’re trying to do it, that’s what stands out to me, is just our ability to do the hard things, do it together, and not let the adversity put us on our heels.”

Next up for the Tigers, they will head to Nebraska to face #19 Omaha both Friday and Saturday, Feb. 23 and Feb. 24.
