(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs, Trails and Open Space Coalition (TOSC), along with Earthwise Waste Solutions, will be joining forces to lead a Keep it Clean COS Community Clean Up.
On Saturday, May 31, from 9 a.m. to noon, volunteers, nonprofits, city partners, and citizens will come together to clean up the Midland Trail between 14th and 31st Streets.
“This is exactly the kind of work Earthwise was built for,” said David Deighton, Co-Owner of Earthwise Waste Solutions. “We’re not just here to pick up trash—we’re here to build community, lead by example, and protect the places we call home. When you see neighbors, city leaders, and local businesses all showing up for the same cause? That’s where the magic happens.”
Keep it Clean COS is a citywide effort to remove trash from medians, streets, and other public rights of way. Earthwise said that while they are showing up in “full force.” The public is also invited to come out and help beautify the trail.
Volunteers can register through the Trails and Open Space Coalition and meet the team at Vermijo Park, located at 2601 Vermijo Avenue, for parking and check-in.
