COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs City Council unanimously agreed to lower rates for Colorado Springs Utilities customers, a vote that will go into effect in February.
Residential customers could see a decrease of at least $15 on an average four-service bill.
According to the Springs Utilities website, the change is made possible by a mild winter, because fuel costs have fallen below projections. The rate decreases will apply to the electric and natural gas cost adjustments.
