Colorado’s Grizzly Rose expands into former Whiskey Baron space

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Whiskey Baron closed its doors after one last night of drinks and dancing on Saturday, Feb. 22. But Denver’s celebrated Grizzly Rose will reopen the space in March as it expands into Colorado Springs with The Whiskey Rose.

The Whiskey Rose will bring the honky tonk experience that the Grizzly Rose is known for, showcasing live country music shows, including both established and up-and-coming acts. Customers can take advantage of curated dancing classes for those wanting to perfect their two-step, and the adventurous can try to keep their seats on the mechanical bull.

“The Grizzly Rose has a rich history of hosting the biggest names in country music including Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Brooks & Dunn, and Charlie Daniels—just to name a few,” said Scott Durland, Owner of The Grizzly Rose. “We’re excited to bring this same atmosphere to Colorado Springs with The Whiskey Rose and can’t wait for our community to experience the energy, fun, and unparalleled live entertainment we’re known for.”

The Whiskey Rose’s grand opening at the new location, at 5781 North Academy Boulevard, will be Thursday, March 6, after which doors will be open Wednesday through Sunday nights.

“We’re bringing the energy of the Grizzly Rose to Colorado Springs and making sure that everyone who walks through our doors feels like they’re part of something truly special,” General Manager Lindy Arnold added. “From the music to the service, every aspect of The Whiskey Rose will deliver an unforgettable experience. That’s always our goal.”

Since opening night falls on a Thursday, it will be Ladies’ Night, where drinks from the well are on the house for ladies aged 21 and over from 8 p.m. to midnight. Fridays and Saturdays will feature live music. Concert nights are for adults aged 18 and over, and Sunday nights will be for all ages.
