(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — The City of Manitou Springs is partnering with Fountain Creek Watershed District (FCWD) are teaming up once again for the Great American Cleanup.
According to the City, the Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest annual community improvement program. Organized by Keep America Beautiful, the Great American Cleanup unites over 15,000 communities across the United States each spring to revitalize public spaces, reduce litter, and protect natural resources.
For 2025, Manitou Springs and FCWD are working together to coordinate a one-day cleanup event on Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to noon at Memorial Park located at 502 Manitou Avenue. Community members can volunteer to be a part of the event.
All needed equipment such as trash bags, gloves, trash grabbers, sharp shafts, reflective vests, eye protection, and buckets will be supplied at no cost. Crew Leaders will be responsible for picking up materials ahead of time and distributing them to their teams.
