(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The suspect arrested in connection to a double homicide that happened Friday morning, Feb. 16 at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will appear in El Paso County Court on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 20 for an advisement hearing.
According to CO Courts on social media, Nicholas Jordan will have a video advisement on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
Jordan is currently being held on a $1 million bond at the El Paso County Jail.
On Friday around 6:15 a.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) was called to UCCS about a shooting in the dorms where officers found Samuel Knopp and Celie Montgomery dead, each with at least one gunshot wound.
UCCS was placed on lockdown temporarily while police investigated.
Jordan was arrested on Monday, Feb. 19 on two counts of First Degree Murder in the shooting deaths of Knopp and Montgomery.
CSPD told FOX21 that Jordan was a roommate to one of the victims.
Jordan is scheduled to be in court on Friday, Feb. 23 for a first appearance hearing at 8:30 a.m.
On Monday, CSPD reiterated that this was an isolated incident between people who knew one another and was not a random attack on the university or any of its other students.
FOX21 News will be listening to Jordan’s hearing and will update this article once we know more.
